"Natives of the Americas"
"Caribs" are Native American people that formerly inhabited the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. Extremely warlike and ferocious, they used canoes to crisscross large portion of the Caribbean to plunder islands. This Crop Over, the Caribs armed with their precision waistlines will do battle with bumpas on the road come Kadooment Day!
"Mayas" were the most important of the cultured native peoples of North America, both in the degree of their civilization and in population and resources, The Mayas were involved primarily in agriculture, commerce, and warfare. They were never united into one empire..until 2013 -- The Mayas unite on the road Kadooment Day for serious wining and revelry!
"Arawak" people are one of the tribes of indigenous peoples of the West Indies. They migrated from South America through the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean to the Bahamas in the Atlantic. The men and women painted their bodies and wore jewellery made of gold, stone, bone, and shell. They also participated in informal feasts and dances. Look out for this type of revelry behind the VIBES truck Kadooment Day.
"Ciboney" derives from the Taíno language, in which it means "cave dwellers". Our frontline section for females AND males that's also available in 5 different color options; pink, blue, orange, purple & yellow. This Kadooment Day we leave the caves and takeover the road from Warrens to Spring Garden!
